30 going on 13

I heard the song "I Promised Myself" on the radio today and I realized that it was not Nick Kamen's voice. I found out later that it's a cover from the band call A-Teens. It's quite true to the original but I still prefer the original 100 times better.
I remember hearing that song from the radio in late 80's. It brought back a lot of memory when I first started listening to western music. I was 13 and I didnt even know what cds were back then. Gosh it was long long time ago. So I started thinking to myself was it a sign of getting old when you heard the songs that you loved in teenage years resung by singers whom you didnt even know?

I've been hearing a lot of those lately, like Take My Breath Away from Jessica Simpson which was originally from Berlin and The Promise from Tony Moran which was originally from When In Rome. To be honest, the new versions suck big time.

Well I guess being 30 is not so bad; at least I had some good years of music to remember.
